DAY 30 of JANUARY 2008: Oh it Super Bowl Sunday, alright!
Oh it Super Bowl Sunday, alright!
Well…almost at least. But there is no doubt that the excitement is rising. The heat is definitely on these days in New York State. Not only in my own household but also the city where the big blue Giant slept for 7 long years and now slowly awakes. I never have seen so many Giant jerseys in my life. In the subway, on the street, in offices….everywhere in NY people turn blue and white. Some very enthusiastic fan even dyed his pooch blue! And I don’t blame him for that. Everybody knows that I do love my blue and white colors. (Although, the Giants will play in white this year. Too bad little doggy.)
How exciting. How exciting indeed.
Jackie and I will have some guest over for dinner (and no…Dexter will not be changing fur color. He might get his Giants suit on, though) for a little Super Bowl Party. Last year we had quite a huge gathering which was fun. But as a host I was so busy pleasing my guests that I missed pretty much the entire game. Not this year! Only a handful of close friends (football fans) will join me in the quest to bring the trophy home. I know that our chances are pretty slim but hey…the hope never dies. Am I right folks? And who wants a team from Boston to win anyway? We don’t like the Red Sox and the Patriots we don’t like either. End of discussion!
On a similar note: If anybody is watching the game on Sunday, make sure to check out the stadium in Glendale, Arizona. As a matter of fact…I built the model for it. When I worked for Peter Eisenman (the Architect of the stadium) here in New York, I helped building the model for the stadium, worked on the drawings and met some of the Cardinal players when they came to the office. That was back in 2003. It was tough working for Peter but it’s fun to see the stadium now that it’s done.
Well…everybody. Have a fun Super Bowl weekend. GO GIANTS!!!

Go Big Blue
